Administrator Control Panel
From PsychoStats
PsychoStats version 3 has an advanced Administrator Control Panel, or ACP for short. Through the ACP an admin can manage their stats website w/o ever having to edit a single text file. A tremendous amount of work has gone into the ACP to make it extremely user friendly, robust and stable.
The ACP is more stable than previous versions of PsychoStats. First, the ACP is based on a theme just like a normal theme for stats display. However it's maintained separately from the default theme which means theme authors don't have to make as many changes in order to make a new theme.
Also, if your theme support breaks for any reason and your stats website is non-functional, the ACP will continue to work!
Game Server Providers (GSP)
The ACP was built with GSP's in mind. While not yet completed, future support will be present to allow a game hosting company to roll out PsychoStats websites to clients and be able to lock certain features in the ACP so that a user can't do anything detrimental to their installation (or to your server). For example; In a GSP environment clients do not need to be able to change paths to images or caches, and allowing a user to do so could be harmful to the system. So the GSP can lock those settings so that not even the admin of the stats website can change (or even view) them.
This feature currently lacks a front-end that would allow a GSP admin to lock settings in a configuration otherwise the functionality is there.
Caveat: DB access
This feature only partially works if not setup properly. If you give direct mysql access to your clients then they will be able to alter the database configuration, by-passing the ACP locking mechanisms.
